8-2? Seriously?

I don't exactly know all the ins and outs of the game of soccer, but I do know that if you give up 8 goals you aren't going to be winning many games. That's what Virginia Tech did last night at Spry Stadium, as Cody Arnoux scored three goals, Ike Opara had two, and Austin da Luz, Corben Bone, and Marcus Tracy all added one each.

It was the most Wake had scored since 1997, and it was definitely a nice message to send in a rematch of a highly competitive game against a Virginia Tech team Wake last saw in the final four of the 2007 College Cup.

The Deacs are now 10-0 and 3-0 in conference play.
