Lincoln has agreed to sell its sports holdings to Raycom.
It appears this move was expected to happen eventually, as Lincoln ended up with the sports rights after merging with Jefferson-Pilot last year. Raycom will now be the sole holder of the broadcast rights to ACC and SEC football and basketball previously held by Lincoln. I don’t think this will have any significant impact on fans, but it is worth noting. I think we’ll just be calling it “Raycom” pretty soon.
