ACC Socer Championships

I've been watching this game, but hadn't posted yet since I had some other work to get done (the games on channel 46 if you're on campus, and various other affiliates elsewhere...check listings).

Wake was down 1-0 at the half and is now down 2-0 with an early goal by BC here in the second half. There's about 35 minutes left in the half and it's not looking great for us, but we're hanging in there.

Looks like we've been dominating possession, but haven't been able to string anything together around the goal. We just had a great opportunity from Franks but a great save by BC's goalie.

I watched my Dynamo pull out 2 goals in the 2nd half earlier today, so lets hope the Deacs can make it happen too. I'll post again later about what I've been seeing.

UPDATE: There's the first one we need! Beautiful header off of the corner kick. Deacons are still alive in this one, and considering everything they've done this year it's not time to be counting them out. Deacs down 2-1 with about 25 minutes left.

Final: Not quite enough for the Deacs. They played hard throughout the second half, but with about 15 minutes BC went into a shell the Deacs couldn't quite crack. Came close on a one touch pass and sliding shot in the box, but came up a couple feet short. The Deacs played hard, and the NCAA tourney is still to come. Maybe we can beat BC for once then. Congrats on a great ACC run Deacs, keep up the good work!
