Al-Farouq Aminu vs. Greg Monroe

Okay so really it was Norcross HS vs Helen Cox HS, but all any Deacon fans (or Georgetown fans for that matter) cared about were these two guys.

Thankfully Aminu didn't disappoint, putting up 29 points and pulling down 13 rebounds in a very impressive 11 point win. Not only did he play well, but he definitely out-shined Monroe on this night as well

I only got to see the second half, but the third quarter was dominated by Al-Farouq, and although he wasn't quite as impressive in the fourth he still looked like the best player on the floor.

Besides getting to see a great performance from Aminu, Wake Forest got some great publicity throughout the game. The announcers talked about Skip (including another very tasteful tribute), Dino, and the job he's been doing so far. Tony Woods and Ty Walker also were mentioned and all three recruits were credited for their integrity in still signing with Wake.

All in all it was a great night for Wake Forest basketball.
