Injury Update: L.D. Williams, Chas McFarland

This evening the school released information regarding the injuries to L.D. Williams and Chas McFarland, and the news is much better than expected. The school's release is available here.

L.D. Williams fractured his right hand is only expected to miss three weeks. I'll believe that when I see it, but this is definitely good news.

Chas McFarland is (amazingly) listed as day-to-day with a right knee sprain.

I'm honestly amazed. These injuries may not end up being as devastating as originally feared. Particularly considering the week off the team has right now it is theoretically possible that Chas won't miss any games at all, although I expect him to probably miss one or two. LD could potentially be back for the Duke/UNC stretch, which could be huge for the Deacs.

It looks like Deacon fans' prayers have been answered in this situation.
