Brad Lamert Officially Named Defensive Coordinator, Other Position Changes

The school officially announced today that the rearrangement of coaching responsibilities has been completed.

Former linebackers coach Brad Lambert has, as expected, been promoted to Defensive Coordinator, while Tim Billings will move from wide receivers to defensive secondary.

From Wake QB Tom Elrod is officially moving to QB coach from TE/FB coach, while new coaches Brain Knorr and Steve Russ take over TE/FBs and receivers, respectively.

None of this comes as any significant surprise, but it's nice to know everything has been straightened out going into spring practice here in a couple weeks. Given the last couple of weeks on the hardwood it's a pleasant change of pace to think about football season. I look forward to seeing the guys practice after spring break.
